A friend of mine is looking to take her band on tour, by taking advantage of Jet Blues travel deal.
They need help booking shows and they're considering the following cities:
If you can help, or know someone who can help, let me know and I'll forward that information.
Sadie from The Invisible Cities here! I am setting up a September Tour outside of San Francisco and I could super use your help! I know, you are thinking this is a crazy idea and not nearly enough planning time. And you are correct. It is inspired by a Jet Blue’s 9/8 - 10/8 all-you-can-fly deal, though, so blame Jet Blue. If I can get enough solid leads in the next 48 hours, I’ll buy my pass. This is what I’m asking –
If you can help book me a show (or know someone who can) in any of these areas any of the weekends listed below, please let me know! Ideally, I’d love to play a show at a public venue, but I’m also thinking about other creative ideas, like record shops, radio shows, in-store shows, or even house concerts (if we’re friends, or friends of friends). I’ll be playing super acoustic, singer songwritery style (without a full band) — and the better the shows I land, the more likely a bandmate or two will be able to come along — either way, it’ll be a fun, mellow show.
I’m considering the following cities (Jet Blue goes to these places or close enough):
I’m looking roughly at the following dates:
9/10 - 9/13
9/18 - 9/20
9/25 - 9/27
10/1 - 10/4
However, if there are opportunities for dates farther out, I’d be open to exploring those, too.
If you book me a show, I’ll give you a copy of each of our CDs (Watertown and Houses Shine Like Teeth) and a recording of yours truly playing a tune from our upcoming EP… And we can get coffee or whiskey before or after the show! (I’m shy as hell, but there’s always a chance I’ll be hyped up on caffeine and chatty. Who knows?)
Hope you’re doin’ well, and thanks in advance for any help!
If you haven't seen 'em already, you can see a couple highlights from recent house concerts on their justin tv channel.
