Extroversion/Introversion and programming...

I was at a picnic on Sunday and was aghast at how deeply introverted my behaviour had turned into. I was also curious, because at other times in similar situations, I have been relatively well behaved, mixing with the crowd and talking to strangers.

It felt strange - almost a throwback to the time when I was the lead programmer for a high pressure group that developed software for a trading division. And that led me to considering that maybe my programming work life directly impacts my extrovert/introvert scale: light/support style programming -> I tend to lean towards the not so introverted side. High pressure (programming a multi-threaded high availability server) programming -> I turn into an extreme introvert.

Interesting. More research is required...
